Ministry is an activity carried out by Christians to express or spread their faith, the prototype being the Great Commission. 2003's Encyclopedia of Christianity defines it as "carrying forth Christ's mission in the world", indicating that it is "conferred on each Christian in baptism."[1] It is performed by all Christians. This is distinguished from the "office of minister", to which specific individuals feel a certain vocation.[2] It can signify this activity as a whole, or specific activities, or organizations within a church dedicated to specific activities. Some ministries are identified formally as such, and some are not; some ministry is directed towards members of the church, and some towards non-members.

Our Ministries

We must first look to the Word of God for the answer. Did you know that there are over 200 verses in the Bible that talks about the poor and God’s provision for them? All throughout the Old and New Testaments, God talks about people looking after the orphans, widows, the poor and the needy. We are commanded to hear the cries of the poor and to meet their needs.

Small groups are an extremely important part of the life at TICB. its provide a way for us to connect. Small groups help us connect with other people building relationships and supporting one another.

Small groups also help us connect with God as we study the Bible together and strive to make it a part of our lives.

Small groups are an important part of the life even more at TICB. because of the nature of expat life here in BATAM.

We need the support and encouragement from other believers even more during our time as expats.

We all know how important prayer is in our life and in the church. God is looking for those who will stand in the gap for their Church, Family, Nation etc. Our Prayer meeting gather in Church Ruko every Wenesday 7:30pm and occasionally join in Prayer Tower praying for the City of Batam.

The purpose of the TICB prayer meeting is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the life of the church. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray for the Nations especially for the Peace of JERUSALEM and we pray that God's love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory.
